## Cloud Platform Technical Lead ### Responsibilities - Drive innovation and collaboration across diverse engineering teams (Software Developers, AWS SREs, Automation, Testing, Network, Database, Cloud Operations, Tools, Application Developers, and Security). - Lead maturity of the Cloud Platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and continuous delivery of highly visible applications. - Design, architect, and implement technology transformation initiatives—especially advanced cloud platform capabilities, AI, advanced analytics, and emerging digital solutions. - Use modern tools and observability metrics to identify, troubleshoot, and improve recurring enterprise/cloud platform issues. - Lead Agile sprints to evolve business processes and technologies; drive optional improvements. - Own monitoring and alerting practices using enterprise observability tools (Datadog preferred, or Dynatrace). - Assess technical and business impact/risks and provide executive-level communication during events. - Monitor and manage communications during high-impact incidents via relevant channels. - Prioritize, manage, and own customer issues end-to-end. - Identify opportunities for process standardization to improve incident response. - Ensure engineering teams maintain required standards. - Identify inefficiencies in team processes and create plans to address them. - Create and review polished technical documentation (incident documentation, RCA, mitigation procedures, etc.). - Communicate complex technical information effectively to customers and stakeholders. - Respond to RFIs and draft technical approach responses aligned to roadmap and strategic agenda. - Provide senior consulting/advisory leadership driving strategic change and digital adoption across business units. - Establish a standard approach for how data, systems, and new technologies (AI, digital dashboards) connect and operate (including tools for data, finances, design, equipment, and project progress). ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications** - Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance. - Education/Experience: - Bachelor’s + 12 years, **or** - Master’s + 10 years, **or** - High School diploma/equivalent + 16 years. - At least 10 years hands-on experience building/operating on: - AWS, DevSecOps, application development, networking, IT security tools, databases, and tools in a modern software development environment. - One relevant AWS certification (choose one): - AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Security Specialist, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. - Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. - Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (roles, permissions, etc.). - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications (AWS EKS), including Spring Boot-based container services. - Experience with GitLab CI/CD (environments, feature flags, DORA metrics aggregation). - Proficiency in at least one language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby). - Self-starter who can execute tactically and strategically with strong attention to detail. - Strong analytical skills, technology experience, business judgment, and ability to dive deep to solve complex problems. - Leadership presence and communication skills to work effectively with customers at all levels. **Preferred Qualifications** - AWS Solutions Architect – Professional - AWS Certified Security – Specialty ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-ge
