**Senior Systems Engineer, Robotaxi Platform Systems** **Mission Summary** The Systems Readiness and Performance team bridges software development and real-world deployment. You'll drive system design, verify and validate the stack, and define performance targets for the commercial launch of fully driverless IONIQ 5 Robotaxis in Las Vegas. **What You'll Do** • Define the Operating Domain (ODD) to serve stakeholder needs and enable automated testing • Verify ODD compliance with engineering teams and map releases • Develop AI-powered tools to measure and visualize ODD expansion opportunities • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, autonomy, and mapping teams • Create clear documentation for analysis tools **What We're Looking For** • 2+ years engineering experience; Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or related field (Master's a plus) • Strong Python proficiency and modern software development best practices • Experience with SQL, Looker, or similar database/visualization tools • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for system performance evaluation • Git and version control workflow proficiency • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality • Comfortable in fast-paced, agile CI/CD environments **Physical Demands & Travel** Frequently sit, talk, or hear; occasionally stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Travel up to 20% (1-2 weeks per quarter to Las Vegas and other testing sites). **Salary Range** $149,000 – $198,500 USD **About Motional** Motional is a driverless technology company creating safer roadways and more equitable transportation.
