Addepar supports clients worldwide with offices in New York City, Salt Lake City, London, Edinburgh, Pune, Dubai, Geneva, Singapore, and São Paulo. ## The Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Staff Software Engineer** for the **Reference Data Team** in the US, a critical component of the Addepar Platform team. The Addepar Platform is a comprehensive data fabric that provides a single source of truth for our product set, including a centralized and self-describing repository, API-driven data services, integration pipeline, analytics infrastructure, warehousing solutions, and operating tools. The Reference Data Team is responsible for the acquisition, conversion, cleansing, reconciliation, modeling, tooling, and infrastructure related to integrating market and security master data from third-party data providers. The team enables alignment across public and alternative investment data products and helps clients effectively manage their investment portfolios. As the Staff Software Engineer, you will architect complex systems and implement solutions to deliver business outcomes using a modern and diverse technology stack, including **PySpark, Python, AWS, Terraform, Java, Kubernetes, microservices**, and more. ### Compensation Note Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. The current range for this role is **$150,000 - $234,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits**. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. These ranges reflect **base salary only** and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. ## What You’ll Do - Drive the technical direction for complex solutions in close alignment with product counterparts, engineering peers in other regions, and the wider engineering community - Partner with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions that meet business requirements - Build frameworks that support highly performant ingestion and distribution of financial data, and build AI-native products—moving from prototype to scalable production services with high velocity - Evaluate and drive strategic business and technology decisions for the company and for customers - Serve as a technical thought leader across multiple areas, educating and sharing best practices - Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver high-quality results and drive continuous improvement ## Who You Are - B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or similar technical field) **or** equivalent practical experience - **7+ years** of software engineering experience - Prior experience with **distributed systems, microservices, and messaging queues** - Ability to own complex projects involving partners across multiple teams - Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers - Working knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming langua
