Its open platform integrates with nearly 650 software, data, and consulting partners to power end-to-end investment operations across firms of all sizes and complexity. ## The Role We’re seeking a **Staff AI Security Engineer** to join our growing **Information Security & Risk** team. You’ll be part of our newly formed **Security Solutions** team—driving organization-wide security enhancements through high-impact, project-driven initiatives with a heavy focus on AI. If you want to build from the ground up, influence security architecture, and meaningfully elevate Addepar’s security posture, this is the role for you. ## What You’ll Do ### Focus on AI Security - **Innovation & Strategy:** Stay current on AI Security trends, models, and innovations; advise on proper architectures. - **Platform AI Security:** Partner with Engineering and Application Security to ensure products use AI securely across the platform. - **AI Enablement:** Work with the Architecture team to securely enable internal AI productivity initiatives. ### AI Security Defense in Depth - **AI Guardrails:** Advise and/or implement guardrails and controls to minimize data loss risk and prevent insecure or unapproved AI usage. - **AI for Security:** Guide and mentor other Security teams on leveraging AI for security benefits. - **AI Governance:** Keep employee documentation and guidance up to date and support questions/concerns. ### Additional Security Solutions Opportunities - **Drive Security Initiatives:** Lead complex, project-driven security enhancements across infrastructure, applications, and corporate environments. - **Security Architecture & Design:** Collaborate with engineering and product teams to architect, build, and deploy scalable, resilient security solutions. - **Enablement & Automation:** Build tools, guardrails, and automated workflows that help development teams ship secure code quickly. - **Risk Mitigation:** Identify security posture gaps, design remediation plans, and execute them to maturity. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Act as a trusted security advisor across engineering, product, and R&D. - **Mentorship:** Mentor junior and mid-level engineers within the Information Security & Risk team. ## Who You Are - **Experience:** 9+ years in security engineering, application security, infrastructure security, data security, or cloud security. - **Project Leadership:** Proven ability to turn vague security problems into structured plans and deliver to completion. - **Analytical & detail-oriented** mindset. - **Curious and continuously learning**—deep interest in Information Security. - **Relationship-building** and strong collaboration with internal/external partners. - **Excellent communication** (verbal and written) with stakeholders. ## Desired Technical Skills - Deep expertise across AI security topics including AWS services, LLMs, MCP, agentic agents, governance & regulations, attacks, guardrails, and cost understanding. - Software engineering background is a plus. - Strong AWS experience, especially security services. - Stro
