**Senior Software Engineer, ML Ops** **About PathAI** PathAI's mission is to improve patient outcomes with AI-powered pathology. We're transforming traditional pathology methods into powerful new technologies that accelerate drug development, improve diagnostic accuracy, and get life-saving therapies to patients faster. **The Opportunity** We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (MLOps) to design, develop, and scale machine learning infrastructure powering our enterprise AI systems. You'll: • Architect and build infrastructure and automation in AWS and on-premises to support ML application development and deployment • Drive system design and lead architectural discussions for our MLOps suite • Research, evaluate, and implement new MLOps tools, frameworks, and best practices • Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, product engineering, and infrastructure teams • Optimize ML workflows for efficient and reproducible deployment and monitoring • Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring • Automate ML operations including CI/CD for models, feature pipelines, and Kubernetes/Airflow orchestration **Required Qualifications** • BS or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade frameworks/applications • Strong skills in complex, multi-language systems and scalable backend architecture • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) • Proficiency with observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and infrastructure-as-code (Helm, Terraform) • Experience owning development platforms and serving internal customers • Solid proficiency in Python with exposure to additional languages **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, Scikit-learn) • Data workflow orchestration experience (Airflow, Kubeflow) • MLOps expertise (model lifecycle management, feature stores, model monitoring, ML CI/CD) • Streaming data processing experience (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming) • Security and compliance knowledge for ML systems • Experience with AI assistants (CoPilot, Cursor) • Outstanding communication and leadership capabilities **Location & Compensation** Hybrid position based in Boston, MA (remote may be considered for exceptional candidates).
