Our experts work cross-functionally to provide CFOs with the digital solutions needed to implement business process recommendations and capitalize on value creation opportunities—spanning ERP, CPM, Analytics, Data Integration, RPA, and more. This role can be based in any US office location and is hybrid (flexibility to work remotely 2 days/week). Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location. *Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.* --- ## Role Overview Accordion is seeking a **Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)** to embed directly with client finance teams and build **AI-powered agents and automated workflows** that transform how organizations interact with their **Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)** and **Corporate Performance Management (CPM)** systems. Rather than implementing the platforms themselves, this role focuses on creating intelligent solutions—such as **FP&A variance analysis agents**, **close reporting agents**, **forecasting co-pilots**, and **automated data reconciliation workflows**—that sit on top of existing financial systems and accelerate the speed and quality of financial decision-making. --- ## Key Responsibilities ### AI Agent Development and Deployment - Design, build, and deploy AI agents tailored to client financial workflows (variance analysis, close reporting, forecasting co-pilots). - Build integrations between AI agents and existing EPM/CPM platforms (e.g., **Oracle EPM Cloud, OneStream, Anaplan, Planful, Workday Adaptive Planning**) to read from and write back to the system of record. - Develop automated data reconciliation and validation workflows to reduce manual effort during period-end close and reporting cycles. - Implement **RAG pipelines**, tool-use patterns, and multi-step agent architectures grounded in client financial data and context. ### Client Discovery and Solution Design - Embed with client finance, FP&A, and accounting teams to understand their EPM/CPM environment, data flows, reporting cadences, and pain points. - Identify and prioritize high-impact automation opportunities (variance commentary, flux analysis, board reporting, cash flow forecasting, data quality assurance). - Translate business requirements into technical solution architectures (agent capabilities, data integrations, guardrails, success metrics). - Manage the full lifecycle of agent development on-site—from prototyping and demos through iteration, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring. ### Platform and Product Thinking - Contribute to Accordion’s reusable agent framework and shared component library. - Stay current on advances in LLMs and agent frameworks (e.g., **LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Anthropic tool use**) and best practices for reliable, auditable AI in financial contexts. - Establish quality sta
