**AeroVect — Staff Cloud Software Engineer** **About the role** Join AeroVect to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, security posture, and developer tooling. You’ll architect, deploy, and operate scalable, fault-tolerant systems on AWS, while driving engineering excellence across the organization. This is a staff individual contributor / technical lead manager role with broad scope and high visibility. **You Will** - Design, build, and operate fault-tolerant production systems on AWS (ECS, ECR, EC2) - Architect and manage cloud infrastructure with **Terraform** (IaC best practices, repeatable/auditable deployments) - Administer and maintain **Google Workspace** (user provisioning, access control, security configurations) - Own **AWS IAM** strategy and user access management across accounts (least-privilege, compliance) - Build and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** using **GitHub Actions** and related build/test frameworks - Enforce and continuously improve IT security practices across user accounts, networking, and data/service access controls - Manage virtualization and **PaaS/SaaS** environments within AWS for availability, performance, and cost efficiency - Design systems with fault tolerance and high availability as first-class requirements - Work with big data technologies such as **DynamoDB** for storage, retrieval, and processing at scale - Mentor junior/mid-level engineers via code reviews, architectural guidance, and knowledge sharing - Field and resolve infrastructure/platform support requests for engineering and operations - Write automation and tooling in **Python** and **Bash** to streamline operations and improve developer productivity **You Have** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field - 7+ years building infrastructure and tooling for large-scale cloud operations - Extensive hands-on AWS development/administration (ECS, ECR, EC2) - Deep expertise in AWS IAM (roles, policies, permission boundaries, cross-account access patterns) - Proven Google Workspace administration experience (user lifecycle, security settings, integrations) - Strong Terraform skills (module design, state management, remote backends) - Significant CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and build/test/deployment frameworks - Demonstrated IT security experience (user account management, network security, access governance) - Experience managing virtualization and PaaS/SaaS in AWS production environments - Track record designing/operating fault-tolerant, highly available systems at scale - Big data experience with **DynamoDB** (data modeling, access patterns, operational management) - Experience mentoring engineers and handling platform/infrastructure support requests - Strong programming skills in **Python** and **Bash** **We Prefer** - Additional AWS services: Lambda, Batch, SageMaker, VPC design/management - Experience with **CloudFormation** - Experience with Autonomy/Robotics infrastructure - Hands-on **ROS/ROS2** and robotic software deployment pipelines - Proficiency in **C++** - Experience working with AI in development support/execution - Engineering management / team lead experience - Familiarity with cloud cost optimization - Experience with visualization/analytics/metrics/dashboarding and observability tools - Proficiency with Agile and KPI-driven engineering practices - Hands-on Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins (container orchestration and legacy CI/CD workflows) **Company** AeroVect is transform
