**Senior Software Engineer, Simulation** **About AeroVect** AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers operate globally. Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. **The Role** You will own and extend simulation tooling with a focus on test quality, determinism, reproducibility, and verification. **Key Responsibilities** • Build and extend simulation environment capabilities: integration with production autonomy stack, vehicle/actor models, environmental conditions • Maintain integration as autonomy stack evolves, including fidelity work • Build and operate scenario execution in the cloud: orchestration, parallelism, result aggregation, artifact capture • Build and extend evaluation layer: assertions and pass/fail criteria for release gating • Build failure-triage tooling: clustering, recordings, dashboards for autonomy engineers • Extend scenario authoring tooling (backend and frontend) • Maintain simulation foundations: determinism, reproducibility, pipeline performance **Required** • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field • Strong Python with maintainable code in shared codebases • Hands-on simulation experience for autonomous systems (CARLA, Applied Intuition, Foretellix, NVIDIA Omniverse, IsaacSim, Gazebo, or proprietary simulators) • Working knowledge of simulation, modelling, and validation methodology • Docker, Linux, distributed-systems fundamentals, GPU-based simulation • CI/CD and cloud execution experience • Ability to analyze simulation output and telemetry • Debugging and profiling skills for distributed, GPU-bound systems **Preferred** • Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field • Safety-critical systems design experience (autonomous driving, aerospace, robotics) • Autonomous vehicle software stacks (ROS/ROS2) • Cloud-based simulation infrastructure and large-scale distributed testing • Sensor modelling, environment generation, perception ground-truth pipelines • Test-signal quality work and safety standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL4600, ISO 13849)
