**Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Cloud)** **About AeroVect** Transforming ground handling with autonomy. Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. Customers include some of the world's largest airlines and ground handling providers. **The Role** Own the data infrastructure and cloud systems powering AeroVect's autonomous driving platform. Design and scale pipelines moving operational data from real-world deployments into systems driving development, testing, and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (on-prem to cloud) • Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for computation, data processing, and telemetry • Integrate on-prem and cloud data flows into cohesive, reliable architecture • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery • Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) • Develop internal services and automation tools for data ingestion and observability • Establish best practices for data reliability, pipeline observability, and security • Drive root-cause analysis and design long-term resilience solutions • Collaborate with autonomy and systems engineers on scalable data interfaces **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field • 7+ years building cloud infrastructure and data systems for large-scale distributed systems • Strong Python proficiency (data pipeline development and automation) • Hands-on experience: Kafka, Kubernetes, gRPC • Deep AWS expertise (compute, storage, data processing) • CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) • Docker and Kubernetes proficiency • Terraform or CloudFormation experience • Git-based workflows and collaborative development **Preferred Qualifications** • On-prem and cloud hybrid infrastructure integration experience • Data engineering background in robotics or autonomous systems • Monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) • Networking, security, and distributed system optimization • Safety-critical or high-availability systems experience
