**Are you ready to join a team committed to making a meaningful impact on cancer treatment through the discovery and development of precision medicines?** At Kura Oncology, you’ll help change the paradigm in cancer treatment by building and improving the science behind precision medicine therapeutics—supported by a diverse, talented culture and relentless execution. --- ## **Associate Director/Director, IT** Reporting to the Head of IT, this pivotal leadership role will shape and execute the IT strategy, manage the IT portfolio, drive change management and communications, refine the IT operating model, co-manage the IT budget and forecasting, and support business system owners (BSOs) in new compliance initiatives. --- ## **Essential Job Functions** ### **IT Strategy & Portfolio Management** - Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives. - Drive innovation through emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives. - Establish and maintain IT portfolio management (prioritization, resource allocation, performance tracking). - Conduct regular portfolio reviews to balance risk, value, and strategic alignment. - Partner with business units and system owners to identify and prioritize high-impact IT initiatives. - Implement and maintain security policies aligned to roadmap initiatives and business goals. - Evaluate vulnerabilities and perform audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks. - Coordinate with incident response teams to address security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions. ### **AI Strategy, Governance & Enablement** - Partner with the Head of IT and business leaders to develop and execute the enterprise AI strategy and roadmap. - Establish AI governance covering appropriate use, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, IP, risk management, and responsible AI. - Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise AI platforms and tools. - Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases with clear outcomes, ownership, success criteria, and value measures. - Collaborate with Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Quality, and business stakeholders to manage AI risks (including sensitive data, model outputs, third-party services, and regulatory requirements). - Develop policies/standards/procedures for responsible generative AI and other AI technologies. - Drive responsible adoption through education, training, communications, and change management. - Ensure AI solutions for GxP or other regulated processes are assessed, documented, validated, and governed with Quality and applicable BSOs. ### **Change Management & Communications** - Develop and execute change management strategies for major IT initiatives and organizational transformations. - Create and maintain a change management framework and train the IT team for consistent delivery. - Lead multi-channel IT communication plans with clear stakeholder messaging. - Establish feedback mechanisms to measure effectiveness of change and communications. - Collaborate with HR and other departments to align IT changes with broader organizational change efforts. ### **Compliance & Validation Management** - Ensure IT systems used in GxP-regulated processes are implemented, validated, and maintained per regulatory standards and Kura processes. - Collaborate with BSOs, IT, and Quality to develop and execute validation deliverables (IQ/OQ/PQ). - Monitor system change
