**Staff AI Engineer (AI Core Engineering team)** **About the Role** Accquia is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to join the AI Core Engineering team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and shipping production-grade agentic AI workflows across the Acquia DXP. You'll work primarily with LangGraph, Temporal, Pydantic, and LangFuse while maintaining enterprise reliability, observability, and scale standards. **Key Responsibilities** • Write and ship production AI code daily as an active contributor • Architect agentic AI workflows using LangGraph, Temporal, and Pydantic for enterprise-scale reliability • Own AI observability via LangFuse: tracing, prompt versioning, evaluation, and performance benchmarking • Set AI engineering standards for agent design patterns, RAG, prompt management, and tool-calling strategies • Partner with product and platform teams to deliver enterprise SLA, security, and compliance-aligned architectures • Evaluate and adopt emerging tooling and frameworks • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and design discussions • Represent Acquia's AI capabilities in customer architectural reviews and roadmap conversations **Required Experience** • 8+ years software engineering with 3+ years in production AI Agents • Hands-on expertise: LangGraph, Temporal, Pydantic, LangFuse • Proficiency with agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI) • Deep Python proficiency and strong engineering fundamentals • Cloud AI deployment experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • RAG architecture knowledge • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience **Desired Skills** • Enterprise SaaS or CMS experience • Agentic development workflow fluency with AI-assisted coding tools • Persistent agent runtime familiarity • LLM fine-tuning or model evaluation experience • Human-in-the-loop agent design • Strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences **Compensation** $145,000 – $158,500 USD
