We offer a dynamic and flexible work environment with competitive benefits and the ability to grow your career. --- **The Team** Verisign’s Resolution Engineering team is a high performing, Agile team who builds horizontally scalable, high performance, and highly available systems. As part of the team, you will design and implement new features for resolution products—writing the software that fundamentally enables the internet to operate at scale. You will support the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions in a collaborative Agile environment. This role provides hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices, including software integration, vulnerability management, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline development. --- **The Person** You will bring strong software engineering fundamentals in system-level engineering environments (C, C++, Rust). You will help maintain the health of development environments, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. You will work in an established, highly technical Agile development team, participating in daily standups and grooming/planning sessions. You will take ownership of features from design to delivery and work closely with teammates to master the software and make a positive impact on projects and team chemistry. --- **What a successful candidate will have** - A track record for high quality and impactful delivery, demonstrating strong design skills and a passion for code quality - True craftsmanship: enjoy breaking down tough problems and working with a team to deliver valuable solutions - Passion for best practices such as automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous delivery - A curious mindset—an agent for change, constantly learning and seeking better outcomes - Strong ability to interact proactively with people to mitigate key technical project risks and ensure quality --- **Required Skills** **Build, Integration and Deployment** - Experience with (or strong willingness to learn) infrastructure automation and platform engineering technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and OpenStack - Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Groovy, GitHub) - Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes - Awareness of and responsibility for how large-scale distributed systems are deployed and operated **Development and Test** - Proven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design) - Strong systems programming with focus in networking and routing protocols - Experience with behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Python Behave or Cucumber - Broad application software development experience with focus in C, C++ or Rust - Highly proficient in Python or similar scripting language **Role-specific** - Highly proficient with Linux - Strong knowledge of the Domain Name System (DNS), networking protocols, and server administration - Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skil
