You'll manage dozens of concurrent video streams, translate disparate camera protocols into a unified pipeline, and feed data into edge-based CV models. Currently supporting 100K+ customer cameras. **What You'll Do** • Read kernel oops/panic traces • Debug GPU driver issues • Work with boot/security subsystems (secure boot, LUKS disk encryption) • Handle networking internals (routing, firewalling, link-layer issues) • Manage RAID arrays (mdadm, disk failure/rebuild scenarios) **What You Bring** • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent • 5+ years Linux software development in system programming languages (C, C++, Rust, Go, etc.) • Embedded development or low-level system software experience • Strong OS and computer architecture knowledge • Excellent communication & documentation skills • **Must be willing to work onsite 5 days/week** **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 **$200,000 – $315,000 USD** annual pay range ✓ 100% employee health insurance premiums; 80% family premiums ✓ Medical, vision, dental coverage nationwide ✓ HSA/FSA with employer contributions ✓ Mental health support & expanded wellness benefits ✓ Paid parental leave & fertility benefits ✓ Flexible PTO, paid holidays, extended firmwide breaks ✓ Professional development stipend ✓ Daily healthy lunches & commuter benefits ✓ Visa sponsorship available **Verkada is an Equal Opportunity Employer**
