About this role

**Sr. Manager, DevOps and AI Enablement** **About Point** - Make homeownership more valuable and accessible—your work helps homeowners access wealth, gain financial flexibility, and achieve life-changing goals. - Backed by $175M+ raised from top investors (Andreessen Horowitz, WestCap, Greylock, Prudential). - Building a category-defining company in home equity (4.7 Trustpilot rating; A+ from the BBB). - Certified Great Place to Work and named a Fortune Best Workplaces in the Bay Area. - Remote-first culture with genuine connection (virtual collaboration, team gatherings, people-first). **Location** - Hybrid role based in **Palo Alto** (team members expected onsite **1 day/week**). **About the role** Point is standing up a new **AI Enablement** function. This dual-mandate leader will own it alongside the **DevOps and platform** practice—running reliability, delivery, and cloud foundations for a lending business, while building a central hub that partners with corporate functions (HR, Legal, Compliance, Accounting, Finance) and Operations (underwriters, processors, closers) to automate and augment work with AI. You’ll work closely with **IT and Security** to set technical direction, drive adoption, and define success across both mandates—shaping how the company applies AI to everyday work, from the platform up. **Your responsibilities** - Lead the infrastructure platform and shared-services organization; drive key initiatives across SRE and infrastructure. - Own reliability, **CI/CD**, **infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)**, cloud platforms (**AWS, GCP, Azure**), containerization (**Docker, Kubernetes**), release tooling, and observability (including incident management and **SOC 2**-related security/compliance). - Stand up and run **AI Enablement** as the central hub: sanctioned platform, guardrails, reusable components, and the harder builds. - Partner with corporate functions and Operations to identify high-value workflows and design agentic AI solutions (LLM-based agents, tool calling, RAG, orchestration, and n8n/Zapier/custom integrations). - Partner with IT and Security to keep enablement safe and compliant (sanctioned tooling, access, and data-handling boundaries for sensitive/regulated functions). - Drive adoption: define success metrics, baseline before building, and measure impact (capacity reclaimed, cycle time, cost per loan, stickiness). - Define multi-quarter roadmaps tied to measurable business outcomes. - Stay current on AI/automation advances and pivot based on user feedback and new capabilities. - Set technical and quality standards through architecture guidance and review. **About you** - **10+ years** in DevOps, platform, SRE, or infrastructure engineering (strong technical depth). - **3+ years** leading and growing engineering teams (hiring, mentoring, performance management). - Experience shipping AI automations to production (LLM agents, tool calling, RAG, workflow orchestration). - Track record tying automation/platform work to quantifiable business outcomes. - Production proficiency with **Terraform**, **CI/CD**, **Docker/Kubernetes**, and at least one major cloud (**AWS/GCP/Azure**). - Strong observability and incident-management practice (e.g., Grafana, Datadog/New Relic, PagerDuty). - Technical fluency to guide/review engineering and automation work (e.g., Python or equivalent). - Excellent cross-functional communication; ability to earn trust with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations. **Nice to h
