About this role
**Anduril Industries — Staff Systems Engineer (C2 Networking, Edge Compute and Communications)** Anduril is a defense technology company on a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. We’re building an AI-powered operating system (Lattice OS) that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center—bringing autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking to the military in months, not years. ### About the Job Our team develops unmanned aerial systems (UAS) capable of terminal guidance, long-range intelligence collection, precision navigation, and unsupervised autonomy. We build developmental UAS platforms to operate in remote environments with limited user input, driving requirements for reliability and autonomy. You’ll help design and manage the next generation of Anduril’s flight vehicles by supporting complex electro-mechanical and aero-performance design trades through simulation and rapid prototyping. You’ll also contribute across the product lifecycle—engineering product development, production, and sustainment. ### What You’ll Do - Enable UAS C2 capabilities through resilient network design - Derive system/subsystem/component-level requirements - Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments - Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications (especially in distributed systems) - Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware - Collaborate to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements ### Required Qualifications - Commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture, with a passion for systems development, integration, and testing - 12+ years of experience as a network engineer executing complex engineering tasks as an individual and as part of a team - Expert-level knowledge of multicast and supporting protocols (IGMP, PIM) - Expert-level knowledge of unicast and supporting protocols (OSPF, BGP) - Experience with end-to-end testing of both unicast and multicast data flows - Experience with Quality of Service and CBWFQ - Advanced knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (truncated in source)
