**Perception Systems Engineer** **About the Role** Anduril Industries is seeking a Perception Systems Engineer to lead sensing system development for autonomous aerial robotic platforms. You'll own the perception system architecture, sensor suite baseline, and verification strategy across multiple concurrent programs. **Key Responsibilities** • Drive perception system architecture and requirements baseline • Own sensor suite baseline configuration across platforms • Set and defend sensing performance models • Drive verification and validation strategy for perception systems • Provide technical authority at design and gate reviews • Lead sensor trades and technical decisions • Drive modularity and reuse across platforms • Establish sensing engineering practices and standards • Own perception in flight tests and data analysis • Represent Anduril as technical authority on airborne sensing **Required Qualifications** • B.S./M.S. in EE, Optics, Physics, CS, Robotics, Aerospace, or equivalent • 5+ years on electro-optical, LiDAR, RADAR, or comparable sensing systems • Depth in multi-modal sensor architecture and sensor selection • Experience owning system architecture and interface definition • Demonstrated experience specifying and verifying sensing performance quantitatively • Working command of EO/LiDAR/RADAR fundamentals (radiometry, link budgets, detectors, optics, NETD, NEP, MTF, atmospheric effects) • Systems engineering rigor (requirements management, traceability, ICDs, TPMs) • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Eligible to obtain and maintain US Top Secret security clearance **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with learned perception in safety-critical systems • Embedded compute and SWaP-C budgeting for airborne perception • Environmental qualification of airborne sensors (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) • Capability transition experience from development to delivery programs • Technical lead or principal investigator experience • Requirements management tooling (Jama) • Standards body participation (RTCA, SAE) **Compensation** $146,000 – $220,000 USD + competitive equity and top-tier benefits
