We build the tools that enable teams across the company to ship features quickly and reliably, and we foster a strong, collaborative web community that champions best practices. ## About the Role As a Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you’ll build foundational pieces for DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo Web applications—such as monorepos, build & CI systems, and agent-first development tooling. You’ll partner closely with engineers and internal stakeholders to deliver large, impactful initiatives, and you’ll help carry the culture through mentorship, education, and peer engagement. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager of the Web Developer Experience team in the Developer Platform organization. This role requires you to be located in **San Francisco, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York, NY**. ## You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… - **Shape the future of Web Development:** Directly impact the daily workflows of every web engineer by improving productivity and developer experience. - **Build from the ground up:** Architect and implement foundational libraries, build systems, and development tools that serve as the bedrock for our web applications. - **Solve complex, high-impact challenges:** Tackle major technical hurdles in web engineering—solutions leveraged by hundreds of employees across product teams. - **Act as a force multiplier:** Empower product teams to build, test, and release features faster and more reliably. - **Lead and mentor:** Guide the web engineering community through mentorship, best practices, and collaboration. - **Collaborate across the organization:** Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and leaders to drive critical initiatives. ## We’re excited about you because… - You have deep expertise in the **Node.js** and **TypeScript** ecosystem. - You’re comfortable shipping in large, complex codebases and monorepos without full context. - You enjoy helping developers ship web applications quickly and securely, using user feedback and data to focus on high-impact work. - You’re passionate about emerging **AI tools** and helping others adopt them effectively. - You’re an organized, excellent communicator (written and verbal). - You have proficiency using AI coding tools (e.g., **Claude Code, Codex, Cursor**) across the full software development lifecycle: designing, generating code, testing, monitoring, and releasing. ## Compensation & Benefits (Summary) - Starting pay falls within the listed range based on job-related factors (skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions).
