**Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management** **About the Role** Join Accenture Federal Services as a Security Engineer specializing in Vulnerability Management. You'll manage and enhance the organization's vulnerability management program while supporting IT systems in achieving compliance for formal Controls Assessments. Work across systems, networks, cloud platforms, and applications to identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate security vulnerabilities. **Key Responsibilities** • Manage and mature the vulnerability management program • Identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities across applications, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments • Collaborate with ISSOs and Controls Assessors on RMF artifacts and security control validation • Review and refine security Control Statements for system hardening • Support compliance with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and SOX frameworks • Implement vulnerability management, patching, and configuration hardening best practices • Assist in incident response for exploited vulnerabilities • Establish repeatable workflows to support ATO readiness • Communicate risk and recommend mitigation strategies **Required Qualifications** • 4-6 years in vulnerability management or related information security role • Advanced knowledge of tools: Tenable Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, or OpenVAS • Strong understanding of vulnerability scanning, assessment, and risk prioritization • Familiarity with CVSS, NIST 800-53, and OWASP Top 10 • Understanding of OS-level vulnerabilities (Windows, Linux, macOS) • Knowledge of core network protocols and components • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with Identity Providers (IdP) and patch management tools • Basic understanding of FISMA and SOX compliance • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience **Preferred Qualifications** • Vulnerability exploitation and PoC development skills • Familiarity with Metasploit • Cloud security tools experience (AWS Inspector, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center) • Configuration assessment tools (SCAP, CIS-CAT) • Threat intelligence and threat modeling knowledge • SIEM tools experience (Splunk, QRadar) **Certifications (Bonus)** GCVA, OSCP, CISSP, CISM **Requirements** • U.S. Citizenship required • Eligible to obtain Public Trust security clearance **Compensation** $106,300 – $221,100 USD (for select states and DC) Accenture Federal Services is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
