**Core AI Platform Engineer - Assistant Vice President** **About the Role** iCapital is seeking an Assistant Vice President Artificial Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and deliver production-grade AI systems that drive measurable business outcomes. This hands-on role combines deep technical expertise with cross-functional partnership and architectural judgment. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and deliver production AI systems including document intelligence, intelligent knowledge systems, agentic orchestration, conversational AI, and generative AI applications • Own AI projects end-to-end from problem scoping through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement • Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions, including API design and infrastructure patterns • Develop robust evaluation frameworks with statistically sound metrics and benchmark datasets • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate requirements • Mentor junior engineers through code review, design review, and knowledge sharing • Identify systemic problems and propose solutions to improve team processes and infrastructure **Required Qualifications** • 5+ years developing and deploying production AI/ML systems on cloud platforms (AWS or similar) • Strong Python proficiency and software engineering best practices (source control, CI/CD, testing) • Deep expertise with LLM applications, AI agents, RAG, conversational AI, and document intelligence • Experience designing end-to-end ML pipelines with model training, deployment, and monitoring • Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and AI system evaluation • Experience contributing to technical architecture and mentoring engineers • Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience in financial services or FinTech, particularly in regulated environments • Open-source contributions, technical publications, or thought leadership in applied AI **Compensation & Benefits** Base salary: $120,000–$170,000 + equity, performance bonus, matched retirement, subsidized healthcare, parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Office-based Monday–Thursday with remote flexibility on Friday.
