**Core AI Platform Architect - Vice President** **Department:** Software Engineering **About the Role** iCapital is seeking a Vice President Artificial Intelligence Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI systems that drive measurable business outcomes across the firm. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional partnership, architectural judgment, and the ability to operate as a force multiplier for the team. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead architecture and delivery of production AI systems including document intelligence, intelligent knowledge systems, agentic orchestration, conversational AI, and generative AI applications • Own AI projects end-to-end from problem scoping through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement • Drive technical design and architectural decisions, establishing standards that raise quality across the AI/ML platform • Architect robust evaluation frameworks with statistically sound metrics and benchmark datasets • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate requirements into technical plans • Mentor and develop engineers through code review, design review, and knowledge sharing • Identify systemic problems and propose solutions to improve team processes and infrastructure **Required Qualifications** • 7+ years developing and deploying production AI/ML systems on cloud platforms (AWS or similar) • Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices • Deep expertise building production AI solutions: LLMs, AI agents, RAG, conversational AI, document intelligence • Experience designing and operating end-to-end ML pipelines in production • Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and AI system evaluation • Experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience spanning multiple AI domains **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience in financial services or FinTech, particularly in regulated/compliance-sensitive environments • Open-source contributions, technical publications, or demonstrated thought leadership in applied AI **Compensation & Benefits** **Salary:** $170,000 - $210,000 • Equity for all full-time employees • Annual performance bonus • Employer-matched retirement plan • Comprehensive healthcare (100% employer-paid dental, vision, telemedicine, mental health) • Parental leave and unlimited PTO • Office-based Monday-Thursday with Friday remote flexibility **Equal Opportunity Employer:** iCapital does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability, or other legally protected characteristics.
