## Senior Analytics Engineer **About the Role** Join Chainguard's Analytics team as a Senior Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation powering company-wide decisions. This high-impact individual-contributor role owns data infrastructure, analytical models, and self-service data products while partnering with Finance, Go-to-Market, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other business functions. **Key Responsibilities** • Own and evolve core analytics platform components: data models, pipelines, metric definitions, semantic layers, and self-service reporting • Design and maintain scalable data models and transformations using dbt and modern analytics-engineering practices • Develop trusted sources of truth supporting decision-making across the company • Partner with stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions • Build dashboards, analytical tools, and enablement materials for independent data exploration • Own the full lifecycle of data products: discovery, design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration • Improve reliability, observability, performance, and data quality of ELT workflows • Establish standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, lineage, and governance • Leverage AI thoughtfully to improve analytics workflows and business value • Independently triage issues, identify root causes, and drive durable resolutions • Mentor junior analytics teammates through technical guidance and knowledge sharing • Shape the technical roadmap for the growing Analytics function **What We're Looking For** • 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI engineering, or related field • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives • Advanced SQL skills and deep experience with analytical data models and pipelines • Strong hands-on experience with dbt and modern analytics-engineering practices • Experience with modern ELT tools (Fivetran, Hightouch, or comparable) • Cloud data platform experience; **Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery strongly preferred** • BI and semantic-layer tool experience (Omni, Looker, Sigma, Tableau, Mode, Hex, or similar; Omni is a plus) • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders • Practical experience using AI in data, analytics, or business workflows • Understanding of dimensional modeling, metric governance, lineage, and access controls • Balance of technical rigor with pragmatism • Mentoring and code review experience • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Comfort operating independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments • Builder mindset; startup or high-growth experience preferred • Python or quantitative programming language experience is a plus **Why Join** Make outsized impact on a newly established Analytics team with a modern data stack, strong executive visibility, and company-wide reach.
