**Android Engineer, ChatGPT ImageGen** **About the Team** The ChatGPT Image Generation team builds one of the fastest-growing experiences in ChatGPT, enabling users to create, edit, and transform images through natural language. We work at the intersection of research and product, partnering with researchers, designers, product managers, and platform engineers. **About the Role** We're seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to build and improve image generation experiences within the ChatGPT Android app. You'll help define how users create, edit, and interact with visual content powered by multimodal AI models. **Key Responsibilities** • Build and ship new Android features for image generation and editing • Create intuitive user experiences that make advanced AI capabilities seamless • Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, and Engineering teams • Drive improvements in performance, reliability, architecture, and testing • Optimize media-heavy workflows and rendering across Android devices • Own projects end-to-end from ideation through launch and iteration **Ideal Candidate** • Deep experience building Android applications with Kotlin and modern frameworks • Track record shipping consumer-facing mobile products at scale • Experience with media-rich, graphics-intensive, or creative tooling applications • Excited about multimodal AI and bringing cutting-edge technology to millions • Thrives in fast-moving, cross-functional environments **About OpenAI** OpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose AI benefits all of humanity.
