**Senior Applied AI/ML Scientist - Brand Growth** **About Faire** Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with products from around the world. We use tech, data, and machine learning to power the shop local movement. **About This Role** As a Senior Applied AI/ML Scientist on the Brand Growth team, you'll own modeling and measurement for problems that help acquire and grow brands on our marketplace. You'll work with structured and unstructured data using personalization, recommendations, causal inference, LTV modeling, and information extraction. You'll partner with product, engineering, marketing, and sales to drive projects end-to-end. **What You'll Do** • Own applied ML projects end-to-end: framing, building, shipping, and measuring impact • Optimize marketing and acquisition spend through targeting and personalization • Predict brand lifetime value for sales prioritization and onboarding • Improve cold-start recommendations for new brands • Identify and enrich brand leads from internal and external data • Use experimentation and causal inference to measure effectiveness • Partner across teams to turn models into shipped product • Solve two-sided marketplace challenges **Qualifications** • 3+ years of industry experience solving real-world ML problems • Experience with e-commerce business problems • Technical expertise in LTV modeling, NLP, LLMs, causal ML, or bidding optimization • Strong programming skills • Ability to design and implement ML solutions independently • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills **Nice to Have** • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM fields • Experience in marketplace growth, acquisition/paid marketing, or two-sided platform personalization **Compensation & Benefits** San Francisco: $211,000 - $290,500/year + equity and comprehensive benefits **Work Arrangement** Hybrid: 3 days/week in office (Tues, Thurs, + 1 flex day) with up to 4 weeks remote flexibility annually **Why Join Faire** ✦ Move fast with meaningful, global impact ✦ Access to latest enterprise AI tools ✦ Sharp, collaborative team from Uber, Airbnb, Square, Facebook, Pinterest ✦ Competitive pay, equity, and comprehensive benefits ✦ Inclusive environment with equal growth opportunities
