**Software Engineer Intern, Fullstack (Summer 2027)** **About the Role** Work side-by-side with top engineers while contributing to user-facing products that go live quickly. You'll have autonomy from day one in a collaborative office environment. **Responsibilities** • Own your project while collaborating with team members • Leave code in a better state than you found it (progressive refactor) • Ensure reliability through unit, integration, and load testing • Participate in code reviews for quality and knowledge sharing • Implement continuous integration and deployment • Make a meaningful impact on Lyft drivers and passengers **Required Experience** • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science (graduation Dec 2027 - Summer 2028) • Available for Summer 2027 internship in **New York City** • Strong CS fundamentals • Python, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML • React or other leading JavaScript frameworks • Git or distributed version control • Browser developer tools and Unix CLI • Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing knowledge • Excellent communication skills **Preferred Experience** • TypeScript, Sass, or CSS preprocessors • Modern frontend testing tools (Webpack, Babel, Jest, Jasmine, Protractor, WebDriver) • Web performance optimization • Database experience • Mobile development • Open source contributions • Real-time technology problem solving **Benefits** • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Mental health benefits • 2 days PTO + 3 days sick time • 401(k) plan • Pre-tax commuter benefits • Lyft Pink membership **Work Schedule** Hybrid - 3 days/week in-office (Mon, Wed, Thu) **Compensation** $52-$58/hour USD (NYC area) + potential equity and bonus *Equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive workplace.*
