About this role
## Overview This role focuses on front-end development for the **ICE BI application** (Data Analytics segment). The platform delivers tailored business functionality, enabling users to view data in multiple reporting formats and take corrective actions or streamline workflows based on insights. You’ll develop and maintain web applications using **Angular** (frontend) and **C#/.NET** (backend), leveraging **AI-assisted development tools** to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build **high-quality, scalable, and secure** software. ## Responsibilities - Develop and maintain responsive web applications using **Angular (v18+)** - Design and implement **RESTful APIs** and backend services using **C#** and **ASP.NET Core / .NET 4.8** - Collaborate with **UI/UX designers**, **product managers**, and other developers to deliver user-friendly features - Optimize application performance and ensure scalability across frontend and backend - Write **clean, maintainable, and testable** code - Participate in code reviews, including reviewing **AI-generated code** for correctness, security, and adherence to conventions - Use AI coding assistants (e.g., **GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor**) to: - Accelerate boilerplate and unit-test generation - Refactor legacy code under human supervision - Generate technical documentation and code comments - Diagnose stack traces and produce reproduction steps faster - Apply sound judgment on when AI should/shouldn’t be used (recognize hallucinations, validate generated SQL/code before committing, and never paste sensitive data/secrets/proprietary IP into public AI tools) - Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack - Stay up to date with emerging technologies, AI tooling, and best practices ## Knowledge & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - **3+ years** frontend development with **Angular** - **3+ years** backend development with **C#** and **ASP.NET Core** - Strong understanding of **TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RxJS** - Experience with **Entity Framework** and **SQL Server** - Familiarity with **RESTful API design and integration** - Experience with **Git** and AI-aware workflows (e.g., reviewing AI-authored commits, branch hygiene) - Knowledge of **CSLA framework** - Hands-on experience with at least one AI coding assistant integrated into daily workflow - Awareness of AI limitations (hallucinations), knowledge cutoffs, and security/IP risks of pasting code into external services - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills ## Other General Skills - Experience with **CI/CD pipelines** and **DevOps** practices - Familiarity with **Azure or AWS** - Knowledge of **Agile/Scrum** methodologies - Experience with **unit testing frameworks** *#LI-JM1* --- **Equal Opportunity Employer:** Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
