**SOCOM - Network Engineer - MacDill AFB** **About the Role** Peraton seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support USSOCOM's Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC-3) at MacDill AFB, Florida. You'll manage, design, and optimize mission-critical network solutions while providing tier three network support across a global 24x7x365 operation. **Key Responsibilities** • Engineer and lead enterprise data, voice, and video networks • Design, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure with focus on security and performance • Collaborate with vendors, government agencies, and technical teams on network implementation and management • Monitor network performance using software and hardware tools; diagnose and resolve complex issues • Lead technical teams integrating new technology into operational environments • Establish baselines and measure network performance across global enterprise • Provide strategic design support and architectural planning services • Support cybersecurity initiatives, risk identification, and DoD/IC compliance documentation • Mentor junior network support technicians **Required Qualifications** • Minimum experience: 12 years (HS), 10 years (AS/AA), 8 years (BS/BA), 6 years (MS/MA), or 3 years (PhD) • DoD TS/SCI clearance required • DOD 8570 IAT II Certification • DOD 8140 compliant under Work Role Code 441 (Network Operations Specialist - Advanced) • Strong background in network design, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, security, and infrastructure **Desired Qualifications** CCNP (Collaboration, Data Center, Enterprise, Security, or Service Provider), CCDP, CCIoT, Aruba CMP, Juniper NCS, F5 CTS, or Riverbed CPEP certification **Salary Range** $104,000 - $166,000 (based on experience, education, and location) **Equal Opportunity Employer**
