**Senior Engineering Manager, SDKs** **About the Role:** Lead the SDK team behind LaunchDarkly's developer experience across every platform. Manage 35+ open-source SDKs, OpenFeature providers, event-streaming libraries, and the Relay Proxy. Shape how developers integrate LaunchDarkly into their applications with trillions of feature flag evaluations running through your team's code. **Key Responsibilities:** • Lead and develop a team of senior engineers with coaching and career growth • Own prioritization across the SDK portfolio, balancing features, maintenance, security, and escalations • Partner with Product Management on SDK and Relay Proxy roadmap • Guide technical tradeoffs across languages and platforms • Represent SDK engineering with customers, Support, Solutions, and Sales • Drive operational excellence in release quality and incident response • Build team norms that reduce silos and keep engineers engaged • Participate in hiring to grow the team **Required Qualifications:** • 5+ years in formal engineering management, including managing senior engineers • Experience leading developer-facing software teams (SDKs, libraries, APIs, open-source) • Working familiarity with multiple programming languages and ecosystems • Proven ability to prioritize across stakeholders and partner with Product Management • Track record coaching senior engineers with performance management and mentorship • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Familiarity with observability practices and production incident response • Open-source contribution experience is a plus **Compensation (Level M3):** Zone 1 (SF/Bay Area, NYC, Boston, Seattle): $240,600 - $330,700 Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago): $216,500 - $297,600 Zone 3 (All other US locations): $204,500 - $281,100 *Includes RSUs, health/vision/dental insurance, and mental health benefits*
