**Software Development Engineer** **About the role** As a Software Development Engineer at Accenture Federal Services, you’ll design and implement robust **event-driven architectures** to improve **observability** and enable comprehensive **event tracking** across diverse data pipelines. You’ll build modular systems that integrate with new data formats and domains, ensuring scalability and adaptability as business needs evolve. You’ll also deliver solutions focused on **access control**, **fault tolerance**, and **real-time alerting**, while maintaining strong **record keeping** in a digital environment. **What you’ll do** - Design and implement event-driven architectures for end-to-end event tracking - Build modular systems that support new data formats and domains - Create frameworks for granular monitoring and rapid response to system events - Develop dashboards and monitoring for system health (observability) - Apply best practices for access management, fault tolerance, and scalable pipelines **Required experience / skills** - **8+ years** of software development (or related field) - Experience with: - **Python** (asynchronous + concurrent programming) - **Kafka** (distributed messaging) - **Distributed systems** - **Event-driven design** - **Asynchronous coding** and **concurrency** - **JSON** - **Fault tolerance** - **Observability** - **Grafana** - **ELK** **Bonus points** - Access control in event-driven architectures - Modular system design for data pipelines - Alerting and record-keeping solutions - Expanding architectures to support multiple data domains and formats **Security clearance** - **Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance required** **Pay range (where applicable)** - **$130,200 – $265,300 USD** **Equal opportunity** Accenture Federal Services is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities, including reasonable accommodations when needed.
