**Software Engineering Manager, AI Observability & Evals Platform** **About LangChain** We're building the foundation for agent engineering, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents. With $125M in Series B funding, we're scaling rapidly with 100M+ monthly open-source downloads and 6,000+ active LangSmith customers. **The Team** The LangSmith team owns LangChain's core platform for observability, evaluation, and production reliability of AI systems—defining what great AI observability looks like at scale. **Your Role** Lead the team building LangSmith's observability and evaluation platform. You'll define technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with product and design to deliver features that help developers build trustworthy AI systems. **What You'll Do** • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team • Shape long-term technical direction and ensure platform scalability • Partner with product and design on key initiatives • Lead by example with clean, maintainable code (Go/Python/Typescript) • Engage directly with customers to drive product improvements **What You'll Bring** • Experience managing or tech-leading teams on complex full-stack products • Strong technical background in Go/Python and React/Typescript • Understanding of databases (Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse) • Proven ability to design high-throughput, data-intensive systems • Strong communication and collaboration skills • *Bonus:* Experience with AI/LLM applications, developer tools, or observability platforms **Compensation & Benefits** $200,000–$240,000 base salary + equity, variable compensation, medical/dental/vision, flexible vacation, 401(k), and more.
