**Frontend Engineer, Ads** **About the Role** Join the Brand Ad Formats team to build ad experiences for Reddit's web app. You'll work on high-visibility, awareness-driven solutions that create memorable experiences for users, including customizable interactive formats and AI-driven ads with User-Generated Content (UGC). The team is expanding video ads to make Reddit a must-buy platform for advertisers. **Responsibilities** • Build ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit's web app • Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams on innovative solutions • Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy **Required Qualifications** • 3+ years of Web Engineering experience • Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript • Experience building data-intensive, highly responsive, fault-tolerant applications • Knowledge of automated testing, code quality, design patterns, and observability • Strong code review and feedback skills • Experience leveraging GenAI tools for productivity • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration **Preferred Qualifications** • Ad tech experience • Consumer-facing site experience (high production value at scale) **Tech Stack** TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Go, React, Thrift, gRPC, Kubernetes, Docker, Codex, Cursor **Compensation** Base salary: $164,200 – $229,900 USD (plus equity, potential commission, and comprehensive benefits) **Note:** Interviews may be recorded and summarized by AI; you can opt out prior to scheduling.
