**Senior Support Engineer (GovOps)** **About the Role** Databricks is seeking a Senior Support Engineer (GovOps) to join our Cleared Engineering team in McLean, VA. You'll serve as a technical authority for resolving complex platform escalations across GovCloud, FedRAMP High, and air-gapped environments, handling the hardest technical issues in Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, and OS internals. **Key Responsibilities** • Drive high-side platform reliability and serve as technical authority for complex escalations • Partner with Core Engineering on root-cause analysis and permanent software fixes • Write and adapt custom Python, Bash, or Go scripts for platform triage and automation • Lead technical triage and incident response during critical platform events • Diagnose patch deployment failures and review Infrastructure-as-Code configurations • Navigate FedRAMP High, ITAR/IL5, and federal security compliance standards **Minimum Qualifications** • Active TS/SCI security clearance • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent • 5+ years in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Senior Support Engineering, or DevSecOps • Deep expertise in Linux/Unix OS internals, networking, and distributed systems • Hands-on proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or Java • Experience managing cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP • Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) • 3+ years writing technical communications and incident summaries • Ability to work on-site in McLean, VA with on-call rotation availability **Preferred Qualifications** • Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) • Experience with AWS WWPS, isolated defense networks, or FedRAMP High/ITAR environments • Experience operating in low-egress or air-gapped networks **Compensation** $130,200 – $178,950 USD (plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits)
