We're building next-generation infrastructure to match billions of products to customer intent. We seek an experienced engineer leader to drive this effort across the stack—serving, pipelines, and machine learning—working closely with VP and Sr. Director leadership. **Key Responsibilities** • Build end-to-end Search & Discovery systems and design next-generation AI products • Drive key developments and overcome technical blockers with strong execution • Ensure solid ML design and operational excellence • Identify big opportunities and be metrics-driven • Build strong collaborations with partner teams • Recruit and develop world-class talent **Required Qualifications** • 10+ years in technology companies • Deep expertise in information retrieval, deep learning, large language modeling, data processing, and real-time serving • Proven track record delivering large, complex systems with significant business impact • Strong design and problem-solving skills • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration **Preferred Skills** • Experience with search and recommendations systems • Search relevance and query understanding expertise • Technical leadership or team management experience **Compensation & Benefits** **Base Pay:** $187,000–$322,000/year (varies by market) **Benefits Include:** Medical/Dental/Vision/Life insurance • FSA & HSA • Long/Short-term Disability • EAP • 401(k) with match • 18–21 PTO days • 12 Public Holidays • Paid Parental Leave • Pre-tax Commuter Benefits • EV Charging (MTV) **Equal Opportunity Employer** Coupang provides equal consideration to all qualified applicants regardless of protected characteristics.
