**Entry Level Software Engineer, Recommendations** **About Rover:** Rover connects pet parents with trusted pet care across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. We're a values-driven, fast-growing tech company headquartered in Seattle and Barcelona, focused on building safe and personalized experiences for pets and their people. **The Recommendations Team:** A team of 4 Seattle-based engineers and 3 remote contractors responsible for matching pet parents with the best care providers. We work with analysts, designers, and data scientists to create user-impacting marketplace features. **What You'll Work On:** • Improving and maintaining search platform technology (Elasticsearch) • Increasing match personalization through creative information collection • Providing engineering support to Data Science on algorithms and ML models **The Role:** You'll partner with senior engineers to break down requirements, build features, and see them through to launch—growing your skills as a professional developer. **Requirements:** • Interest in both backend and frontend development • Currently authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available) • Based in Greater Seattle Area (hybrid role: 2 days/week in-office, Mondays & Thursdays) **Why Join:** See the impact of your work on a scaling marketplace, work with a team recognized as a great place to work, and access AI tools to enhance your development.
