If you’re excited about solving complex problems that improve healthcare, we’d love to hear from you. --- **About the Role (Senior Software Engineer, Data)** - **Foremost a software engineer.** You exemplify high code quality and guide others, with at least **5 years** of industry experience as a **data engineer** (or similar role). - Experienced in creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and other engineering best practices. - Expert in **Python** with fluency in **SQL**, and experience building maintainable data pipelines. - **Hands-on with architecting solutions.** You’ve designed multiple data pipelines end-to-end—choosing technologies, building, testing, and rolling out. - **Experience with asynchronous systems.** Comfortable identifying and applying **APIs, streaming, multithreading**, and other async approaches; able to monitor and maintain these systems. - **Product mindset.** You think about business impact and can prioritize work using high-level goals. - **Communication extraordinaire.** You can communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences and explain complex concepts simply. - **ML/AI-aware.** Working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored, and motivation to advance data-driven initiatives. **Location** Remote in the **United States, Canada, or some countries in South America**. --- **How You Will Make an Impact** - Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks that facilitate extraction of insights. - Understand product requirements and translate them into actionable project plans your team executes. - Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated, and used as standards by other teams. - Partner with your team’s Data Leadership to identify and drive meaningful projects across the commercial org. --- **Compensation** Anticipated total compensation: **$165,000 – $221,000** (depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity).
