**Forward Data Engineer** **The work you’ll do** - Design and optimize data pipelines using Spark, Apache Iceberg, EMR cloud services, and Kubernetes containers; support offices in other data platforms. - Ensure data pedigree and provenance are maintained to protect access to data. - Clean and preprocess data to enable access for advanced analytics. - Collaborate with enterprise working groups to advance data standards. - Partner with the engineering team, data stewards, and mission partners to deliver actionable value from data holdings. - Collaborate with software engineers to update, configure, and maintain data services based on requirements. - Conduct quarterly analysis and provide recommendations for data tools supporting data functions in the new environment and other services. - Provide support including administration and performance tuning of data tools to support continuous RMA efforts. **Here’s what you’ll need** - 4 to 7+ years of experience in: - Data lifecycle engineering - Development and maintenance of ETL (extract, transform, load) tools and services - Cloud and on-prem data storage and processing solutions - Python, SQL, Spark, and other data engineering programming - COTS and open-source data engineering tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, NiFi) - Palantir Foundry - Agile / Scrum **Security clearance** - Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance required **Pay (where applicable)** - $130,200 — $265,300 USD
