## Data Engineer Team Lead **About the Role** Lead a team of talented data engineers at Accenture Federal Services, responsible for building and maintaining critical data infrastructure. Provide technical vision and hands-on leadership for the design, development, and sustainment of all data pipelines serving the DoD. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers on pipeline development and operations & maintenance • Drive technical strategy for the data pipeline ecosystem, ensuring stability, scalability, and efficiency • Enforce reusable pipeline templates, automated monitoring patterns, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployment standards • Oversee development of new data pipelines using modern patterns like Databricks Delta Live Tables • Direct optimization of existing pipelines through automated monitoring, alerting, and schema drift detection • Facilitate code reviews, enforce documentation standards, and ensure agile best practices • Collaborate with Solution Architects to identify and implement technical improvements **Must Have** • 10+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering • Expert-level proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, or PySpark • Deep experience with cloud data platforms (AWS or Azure) and platforms like Databricks, Palantir, or Snowflake • Demonstrated experience leading projects • US Citizenship (No Dual Citizenship) • Active Secret, TS, or TS/SCI security clearance **Nice to Have** • Experience in high-security DoD environments (SIPR, JWICS) • Hands-on experience with Databricks Delta Live Tables, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines • Familiarity with Airflow, Great Expectations, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes • Extensive ETL/ELT tool development and maintenance experience **Compensation** $160,700 – $306,500 USD (for select states and locations) **About Accenture Federal Services** A Glassdoor Top 100 Best Place to Work dedicated to helping the US federal government.
