## Systems Administrator **About the role** The System Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology systems. **Responsibilities** - Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes; support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more - Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution; support escalation and communicate status to management and internal customers - Configure and manage Linux/RHEL and Windows operating systems; install/load OS software; troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components; implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance - Monitor daily operations of applications and infrastructure - Perform system maintenance tasks including patches and updates - Troubleshoot and resolve application technical issues - Assist with user account management and security administration - Support system backups and recovery procedures - Maintain system documentation and operational procedures - Participate in testing during upgrades and implementations - Generate system reports and analyze performance metrics - Respond to user support requests related to system functionality **Basic Qualifications** - 4 years of experience in Information Technology / Systems Administration - Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required (five years of additional SA experience may be substituted) - Meet DoD 8570 Level 2 qualifications (examples listed): Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC
