**Application Security Engineer** **About the Role** Senior Application Security Engineer (DevSecOps) at Accenture Federal Services. Bridge security governance, software delivery velocity, and modern engineering practices. Lead the Application Security Scrum Team, participate in sprint ceremonies, and ensure security is fully integrated into the development lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** • Prioritize and manage security backlog, mentor team on secure development practices • Test web and AI applications for vulnerabilities, triage findings, provide technical resolutions • Architect and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) • Design hardened build processes and implement secure software supply chain controls • Implement and maintain SBOM lifecycle processes for dependency visibility • Ensure security-by-design for AI agents, development workflows, and CI/CD pipelines • Integrate security tools (Snyk, Nexus, JFrog) into developer workflows • Ensure build artifacts are verified, signed, and compliant with federal requirements • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to maintain security without slowing innovation **Required Experience** • 3+ years hands-on software engineering and application/infrastructure security • Proven experience securing CI/CD pipelines and delivering production-quality code • Deep expertise with Gradle, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes • Strong CI/CD orchestration skills (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) • Hands-on experience with artifact signing (Sigstore/Cosign) • SBOM generation and analysis (CycloneDX or SPDX) • Modern AppSec principles including SSDF • Threat modeling, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault), container hardening **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience automating compliance mapping to federal frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SSDF) • Certifications: CSSLP, CISSP, or CCSP **Requirements** • US Citizen required • Eligible to obtain government public trust clearance **Compensation** $78,600 – $160,200 USD (for select high-cost locations) **Equal Opportunity Employer** | Accenture Federal Services is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
