**SAP Data & Analytics MDG Lead** **About the role** The SAP MDG Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the Master Data Governance framework for the S/4HANA program. You will govern the creation and maintenance of enterprise-wide master data (Financials, Business Partners, and Materials) to ensure high-quality, consistent, and audit-ready information across the federal landscape. You’ll lead the transition from decentralized data management to a centralized **Single Source of Truth** using **SAP MDG** to automate workflows and enforce business rules. **Key responsibilities** - Design and govern the SAP MDG architecture (e.g., Hub vs. Co-deployment) and define the data model for relevant domains - Establish and enforce enterprise data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules for data integrity across the S/4HANA digital core - Lead hands-on configuration of the MDG framework, including: - Data Modeling - UI Modeling (Floorplan Manager) - Process Modeling (Workflow) - Data Quality Remediation - Design and implement complex Change Request (CR) workflows to support efficient data stewardship and federal audit requirements - Lead strategies for initial data load, duplicate record consolidation, and mass master data changes using MDG integration services - Serve as the primary liaison between the Data workstream and functional squads (B2R, P2P, O2C) to ensure master data supports end-to-end business processes - Partner with BTP and Middleware teams to distribute master data from the MDG hub to downstream SAP and non-SAP systems via SOA, ALE/IDoc, or OData - Use SAP Information Steward or MDG Data Quality Management (DQM) to monitor data health, report KPIs, and drive remediation when data falls below federal standards **Here’s what you need** - 2+ years of experience with SAP MDG implementations, with deep expertise in one or more of: - MDG-F (Financials) - MDG-S (Supplier) - MDG-C (Customer) - MDG-M (Material) - Hands-on experience with the SAP MDG technical framework, including: - BRFplus (Business Rule Framework) - ABAP Object-Oriented programming - BADI implementations - Strong understanding of the S/4HANA Business Partner (BP) concept and the Universal Journal’s impact on master data **Nice to have** - Expert knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, especially data workstream deliverables during Explore and Realize phases - Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate data governance councils and advise senior leadership on data stewardship and ownership - Familiarity with federal data standards and internal control frameworks supporting Federal Audit Readiness (FIAR) - Bachelor’s degree in a related field **Eligibility requirements** - US Citizen (no dual citizenship) - Active Secret clearance required - Willingness to travel up to 25% **Compensation (where applicable)** - Base pay range: **$76,100 – $243,100 USD** (states of CA, CO, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MN, NJ, NY, VT, VA, WA, DC, and the city of Cleveland)
