**Sr. Database Administrator** **About Accenture Federal Services** At Accenture Federal Services, we help the US federal government make the nation stronger and safer—driving positive, lasting change across defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health organizations. --- ## **The Work** Responsible for expert database administration support across **Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL** in a mid- to large-scale enterprise environment. You will: - Perform **daily database health checks** and **validate backups** - **Proactively monitor** datacenter resources and resolve issues - Implement **preventative measures** - Support **full lifecycle activities**, including: - Planning, coordinating, and executing **release notices** - Performing **authorized maintenance** - Deploying **new servers or databases** - Drive operational excellence through: - Dynamic **user-issue documentation** (definition, resolution, reporting) - **Bi-weekly updates** and task-based procedural documentation - Improvements to existing infrastructure processes - Manage **team ticket queues** as needed, **onboard** new team members, and participate in **weekly meetings** - Help improve **training, user documentation, and support tools** --- ## **Here’s What You Need** - **8+ years** of database administration experience - Strong to expert-level knowledge of **Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL** - Ability to produce **dynamic problem documentation** (definition, resolution, reporting) - Ability to support **scheduled after-hours maintenance** - Experience serving as a **queue manager** to assign incoming tickets - Industry experience developing, deploying, and supporting database systems at **scale** - Full project lifecycle experience: **design, development, implementation, documentation** - Experience with **Microsoft Windows** and **Red Hat Enterprise Linux** (Linux familiarity required) - Understanding of enterprise systems management (e.g., **configuration management, ESD**) - Knowledge of **scalability principles** and **cost-of-ownership** impacts - Broad understanding of cloud technologies, applications, and protocols (e.g., **TCP/IP, Active Directory, Apache Tomcat, MS IIS**) --- ## **Eligibility Requirements** - **U.S. Citizen** --- ## **Pay Range (where applicable)** **$102,300 – $203,400 USD** --- *Accenture Federal Services is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and supports reasonable accommodations as needed.*
