**Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer** **About the role** Accenture Federal Services (AFS) is seeking a **Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer** to lead the design, build, and automation of a secure, scalable, highly available **hybrid cloud infrastructure**. You’ll help enable development and data science teams with a robust, self-service platform using **AWS-first** cloud-native technologies (with **VMware** hybrid experience a plus). **Responsibilities** - **AWS Infrastructure & Architecture:** Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure environments in AWS. Implement/manage core services including **VPC, Transit Gateway, EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS, and RDS**. Operate and secure containerized workloads on **Amazon EKS**. - **DevSecOps & Automation:** Use **Terraform (IaC)** to automate provisioning and management. Build and optimize **CI/CD pipelines** for rapid, reliable delivery. Master **AWS IAM** with least-privilege access. Develop automation tooling/scripts (e.g., **Python, Go, Bash**) with a strong focus on **API usage**. - **Security & Compliance:** Embed security best practices into platforms and pipelines (DevSecOps). Implement/enforce security controls, encryption, and access management to meet compliance standards such as **DISA STIGs**. Partner with security teams on monitoring. - **Team Enablement & Collaboration:** Serve as a cloud SME, guide development teams, evaluate new cloud-native technologies, and recommend improvements. Champion best practices (e.g., **Git workflows**) and use AI tools to accelerate development and problem-solving. **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field **or** equivalent experience (about **10 years** in cloud/software engineering) - **Security+** certification - Expert-level **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** proficiency - Experience with **Terraform** (or similar) - Solid understanding of cloud networking, **Linux/Unix**, and security principles - Proficiency with **Git** **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience designing/building/maintaining automated **CI/CD** pipelines (e.g., **Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline**) - Understanding of authentication mechanisms: **OIDC, OAuth2, LDAP, SAML** - Strong problem-solving in a fast-paced, evolving environment - Hybrid cloud experience with **VMware vSphere** - Experience with **Ansible** (configuration management) - Familiarity with other public clouds (**Azure, GCP**) and contributing to open-source - Relevant certifications (examples): - **AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional** - **AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional** - **AWS Certified Security – Specialty** - **CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)** - **HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate/Professional** - **GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)** **Clearance** - **Active TS/SCI required** **Pay range (where required by law)** - **$165,900 – $194,400 USD** (for the listed states/locations) *Note: Compensation and benefits vary based on factors including location, role, skill set, and experience.*
