About this role
**The Work** - Administer 30+ AWS RDS databases running Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and MySQL across multiple AWS accounts. - Perform database functions across teams/clients, including account management. - Design and implement AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) jobs for inter-database synchronization. - Support backup/recovery, disaster recovery testing, and configuration management. - Manage DBMS on AWS and contribute to updates of procedures and documentation for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. **Here’s What You Need** - Advanced AWS RDS experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL Server, including: - Deploying multi-AZ RDS systems with high performance - Performance tuning with AWS Performance Insights - Integrating Oracle Enterprise Manager for performance monitoring - Designing AWS DMS jobs for data synchronization between databases - Database encryption at rest and in transit - Configuring parameter groups - Managing IP traffic using security groups - Auditing database log files - Maintenance and management activities - Planning backup and recovery strategies - User management - Monitoring the database - Ability to report to the client site in Washington, DC **5 days/week**. **Eligibility Requirements** - **US Citizen** **Security Clearance** - **Top Secret** **Pay Range (where applicable)** - **$116,900 – $243,100 USD** *Note: Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.*
