This is a strategy + build + operate role where you'll partner with CXOs, CDO/CIO/CISO offices, legal/compliance, security, and product teams to define standards, implement controls, and accelerate mission outcomes. Focus on production strategy, governance, and architecture—not model training. **What You'll Do** • Translate mission goals into portfolio roadmaps, target architectures, and adoption plans • Define reference architectures (cloud/hybrid/on-prem) respecting Zero Trust and privacy constraints • Operationalize policy-as-code, approval workflows, audit trails, and model/data lifecycle controls • Stand up evaluation harnesses for quality, safety, latency, and cost with guardrails • Author playbooks, templates, SDKs, and governance blueprints for consistency and scale • Partner with product, security, data, and engineering teams on measurable outcomes • Ensure programs meet SLOs and pass audits with progressive delivery in regulated environments • Contribute to proposals, briefings, and mentor teams on responsible AI practices **Requirements** • Experience developing AI or data strategy in government or multi-stakeholder environments • Strong understanding of federal policies (data, AI, privacy, cybersecurity, digital modernization) • Expertise in enterprise architecture and AI governance frameworks • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Proven track record turning strategy into operational systems with measurable outcomes • Experience assessing AI readiness, risks, and ethical considerations • **Must be a US Citizen** **Nice to Have** • Experience in regulated/secure environments (audit controls, ATO processes, Zero Trust) • Exposure to LLM evaluation frameworks, RAG/agent patterns, prompt lifecycle management • Familiarity with Azure/AWS/GCP, Databricks/Snowflake/Palantir, vector search, catalog/lineage tools • Contributions to playbooks/standards or open-source; executive-level storytelling experience
