**Cyber R&D Engineer** **About the Role** Join Accenture Federal Services as a Cyber R&D Engineer supporting the US federal government. You'll play a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge software solutions designed to exploit vulnerabilities in adversary technologies. This position demands proactive problem-solving, staying ahead of emerging threats, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. **What You'll Do** • Provide on-site support in R&D of software designed to exploit vulnerabilities in adversary technology • Develop and optimize algorithms, author scripts, and create utility software • Identify and analyze potential vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and firmware • Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify attack vectors • Evaluate security posture of cyberspace systems (networks, operating systems, applications) • Research emerging trends in cyberspace (AI, machine learning, IoT) • Analyze and reverse engineer source code • Perform software integration and testing of vendor-acquired tools • Establish and maintain CI/CD mechanisms per industry best practices • Generate technical documentation and perform lifecycle maintenance • Participate in solutions discussions, requirements refinement, and live operations **Required Experience** • 5+ years in vulnerability research and analysis with POC development • 5+ years with Windows and/or Linux operating systems • Proficiency in: C, C++, Python, Java/Javascript, Bash/Bourne/C Shell, Rust, or Assembly • Expertise with: GDB, Valgrind, LLDB, IDA Pro, Ghidra, or SCons • **Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required** **Bonus Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering • Experience with Android, iOS, or Network Devices/RTOS • Cybersecurity tools experience (vulnerability scanners, penetration testing, SIEM) • Risk identification and mitigation in complex systems • Secure coding practices knowledge **Compensation** $116,900 – $243,100 USD (varies by location and experience) **Equal Opportunity Employer** Accenture Federal Services is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
