**Engineering Manager** at Snowflake **About the Role:** Lead the Snowflake Postgres team in building a fully managed, cloud-native Postgres service. Provide strong technical leadership across the dataplane and orchestration/control plane, define architecture, and shape one of Snowflake's most strategic new products. **Key Responsibilities:** • Provide technical leadership for Postgres dataplane and managed service orchestration (HA, upgrades, backups, scaling, automation) • Break down complex problems and build consensus across multiple parties • Balance long-term thinking with immediate business needs • Ensure operational readiness and meet customer commitments on durability, availability, performance, and security • Solve large-scale business problems using software engineering and analytical skills **Required Qualifications:** • 10+ years building and operating large-scale systems (distributed systems, databases, or cloud services) • 3+ years building, managing, and leading high-performing engineering teams • Strong track record delivering large-scale, resilient systems in production • Significant cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with high availability and operational rigor • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Hands-on technical ability with complex codebases and system design • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Postgres experience as user, operator, or administrator with solid database fundamentals knowledge **Why Join:** Build an industry-leading Cloud Data and AI Platform, solve challenging technical problems, work with world-class teams, and make your impact at a fast-growing company.
