## Systems Engineering, Associate — St. Louis, MO ### Overview Peraton is seeking a **Systems Engineering, Associate** to support various programs within the Intelligence community in our **St. Louis, MO** office. The role supports the development of **software-intensive systems** for national defense projects. **Target Start Date:** **Summer 2027** (contingent on obtaining the required security clearance per the government program). --- ### Responsibilities - Provide engineering support for the **design, development, and test** of leading-edge technology solutions in areas such as: - Cybersecurity - Satellite ground systems - Information management systems - Cloud computing - Networking - Work in a **collaborative, team-oriented Agile** software development environment. - Support the software engineering life-cycle, including: - Requirements/story development and management - System architecture and design - Component/system/operational testing - Documentation development - Security accreditation - System deployment - IT support - Perform **analysis of alternatives** (collect/analyze data and make recommendations). - Assess performance using **evaluation criteria** and technical performance measures. --- ### Required Qualifications - **US Citizenship** and ability to obtain/maintain a **TS/SCI with Poly** security clearance - **Bachelor’s degree** (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field) - **0–2 years** of relative experience - **December 2026 and May/June 2027 grads welcome** - Familiarity with software development and/or scripting languages such as **Java, C++, Perl, Bash**, etc. - Strong foundational knowledge working with systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies/concepts - Hands-on experience through coursework and/or internships - Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player - Strong written and oral communication skills --- ### Desired Qualifications - **Already active/existing TS/SCI security clearance** - **3.0+ GPA** - Solid understanding of software engineering life-cycles (e.g., **Agile/Iterative development**) - Foundational understanding of **digital engineering** - Experience using **AI** to improve workflows and drive efficiency - Experience with **Windows and Linux**, database technologies, web application servers, and/or automated testing tools - Familiarity with application or network installations, configuration, and/or administration --- ### Location **St. Louis, MO** --- ### Salary Range **$51,000 – $82,000** (typical range). Final compensation depends on factors including scope/responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and geographic/business/contract considerations.
