## Software Engineering, Associate (DevOps) — Herndon, VA ### Responsibilities - Support a large software development classified program developing, operating, and maintaining mission-critical enterprise capabilities - Develop CI/CD build and deployment pipelines - Write/modify Jenkins-based Groovy scripts - Troubleshoot pipeline issues across Jenkins and AWS environments (e.g., Linux EC2, RDS, CloudFormation, Elasticsearch) - Document key features for developer use - Help write/maintain scripts for process improvements (e.g., stage/unstage builds, branch/tag automation, automating variance corrections across networks) - Assist with automating installations of COTS products into the architecture - Debug integration issues and help identify deployment issues (e.g., intermittent connectivity between an API server and the database) - Integrate with DevOps tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, Robot Framework/Selenium, Artifactory) ### Qualifications **Required** - US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a **TS/SCI security clearance** and polygraph prior to starting - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM fields - **0–2 years of experience** - May/June 2027 grads welcome - Strong foundational knowledge of **Java OOP** - Willingness to learn and become an effective team member - Strong written and oral communication skills **Desired** - Already active **TS/SCI** clearance - **3.0+ GPA** - Demonstrated experience with the systems engineering life cycle - Previous hands-on experience via coursework or internships - Basic understanding of an OOP language (preferably **Java or Python**) - Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., **Bash and Python**) - Experience integrating **Jenkins and Docker** for automated CI/CD pipelines - Active **CompTIA Security+ CE** certification ### Target Start Date - **Summer 2027** (after successfully obtaining required security clearance) ### Salary Range - **$66,000 – $106,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors such as experience, education, location, and contract considerations) ### Company Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company providing mission-focused solutions and transformative enterprise IT services for government agencies and the U.S. armed forces. ### EEO Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.
