About this role
## Responsibilities - Support a large, classified software development program in **Herndon, VA**. - Apply **Agile** development processes to implement features defined by **user stories** (3-week sprints / 3-month spins). - Develop using **Java full stack**. - Develop and maintain **platform-related applications and libraries**. - Maintain existing applications as requirements evolve. - Resolve **database issues** and create new features/functionality for existing databases. ## Qualifications **Required Qualifications** - **US Citizenship** with the ability to obtain and maintain a **TS/SCI security clearance** and **polygraph** prior to starting. - **Bachelor’s degree or higher** in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM/technical fields. - **0–2 years of experience**. - **May/June 2027 grads** welcome to apply. - Strong foundational knowledge of **Java OOP**. - Willingness to learn and become an effective team member. - Strong written and oral communication skills. **Desired Qualifications** - **Active TS/SCI clearance**. - **3.0+ GPA**. - Demonstrated experience with the **systems engineering life-cycle**. - Hands-on experience through **coursework or internships**. - Hands-on coding experience with **Python, Angular, Postgres, & SQL**. ## Additional Info - **Target start date:** Summer **2027** (after successfully obtaining required security clearance per program requirements). - **Target salary range:** **$66,000 – $106,000** (varies by factors including experience, education, location, and contract considerations). *Peraton is an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.*
