The discovery platform is built on groundbreaking innovations from its founders (Nobel Prize, 2014), featuring microscopes that enable real-time, molecular-resolution measurements of protein movement in living cells. **Position Overview** Support R&D initiatives focused on interpretability techniques for machine learning systems used to improve internal scientific and analytical tools. Gain exposure to applied ML workflows including model development, evaluation, interpretability research, and data pipeline optimization. **Contract Details** • Duration: ~3 months • Hours: 20 hours/week • Rate: $56–$68/hour (based on skills and experience) **What You'll Do** • Lead or substantially contribute to research-focused projects on model interpretability • Develop and evaluate ML approaches to improve model performance and robustness • Support development and testing of interpretability techniques • Design and execute targeted experiments for model evaluation • Prepare, clean, and analyze image-based and structured datasets • Evaluate model outputs using quantitative metrics and visualization • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into prototypes • Document technical approaches and experimental results • Present project outcomes and key learnings **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's or graduate degree (completed or in progress) in CS, ML, AI, Data Science, EE, or related quantitative field • Coursework or hands-on experience in ML, statistics, and computer vision • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) • Experience with data analysis, experimental design, and model evaluation • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively and independently • Available for part-time work (20 hrs/week) during core business hours **Preferred** • Exposure to model interpretability, explainability, or visualization techniques **Equal Opportunity** Eikon is an equal opportunity employer.
