Recognized as a Fast Company World's Most Innovative Company (2023) and Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces. **About the Role:** Lead system design for agentic AI capabilities as a Principal Software Architect reporting to the Chief Architect. Partner with engineering leadership, Product, and Data Science to build the next generation of our platform. **Key Responsibilities:** • Own system design for agentic capabilities: orchestration, context/state, tool boundaries, reliability patterns • Write Technical Design Reviews (TDRs), design docs, and standards for architectural direction • Prototype to validate architectural decisions before teams scale them • Partner with Data Science to integrate agent work with platform services • Review TDRs across engineering and provide substantive architectural feedback • Build genuine alignment across engineering teams • Drive AI-assisted and agentic development adoption across engineering • Mentor senior and staff engineers on agentic system design • Communicate architectural decisions clearly to executives and customers **Required Qualifications:** • 10+ years software engineering experience (senior/staff/principal-level architect) • Deep expertise in distributed systems, service boundaries, event-driven architecture, API design, production-scale operations • Hands-on experience building agentic/LLM-powered systems in production (agent loops, context engineering, MCP, RAG, memory/state management) • Working knowledge of data engineering fundamentals • Track record of influence without authority and rigorous design review • Strong technical writing and mentorship skills • Ability to communicate complex decisions to executives and customers • Comfortable as senior individual contributor **Preferred Qualifications:** • Multi-agent orchestration patterns experience • Familiarity with Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes • Experience leading AI-assisted development adoption across organizations • Experience partnering with data science/ML teams on productionization • Cybersecurity industry background **Tech Stack:** Node.js, TypeScript, React Microfrontend Architecture, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD **Compensation:** $240,000 - $300,000 (base plus bonus), plus stock options, health benefits, unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more.
